The Incorporated Society of Musicians is running a major campaign-Protect Music Education- to prevent the funding for music services being cut. The current situation appears to be that the DfE is suggesting to local authorities that they can cut the current budget devoted to music education and rely on the limited funding for Music Education Hubs

The ISM now report that the government have now pledged £17 million towards local authority funding for music in schools. This is great news and testimony to the ISM campaign
